Dariya Loseva is a geneticist, molecular biologist, science popularizer, TEDx speaker and a global science and healthcare advocate. She was recognized among Ukrainian list of 30 under 30 by Kyiv Post for 2018. In an effort to prevent breast cancer, she founded Kyiv Laboratory of Care that helps to detect a genetic risk factor for breast cancer. Dariya is the Founding Director of the Science Media Group (SMG) a public organization that popularizes science and organized a bioinformatician school for students of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. In 2016 Dariya was the representative of the “UN Hundred” project at the UN General Assembly. In 2017 together with the team of Myhelix showed their idea at TechCrunch Disrupt in San Francisco. She appears frequently in the media including National TV, radio, and magazines. Dariya holds MD in Genetics from the National Taras Shevchenko University and she is a PhD candidate in Genetics.
